CMIT South Presents #BlackFilmsMatter

CMIT South MS/HS commemorated the 2020 Black History Month with a worthy show on February 20, 2020 themed Black Film Matters. Over 200 families graced the occasion. Talented students displayed many talents with performance such as songs, dances, steps, speeches and many more. Our ever supportive PTO volunteers – Mrs. Andrews, Mrs Wards, Mrs. Marshal, Mrs. Rodriguez, Ms. Johnson and many others helped with the awesome set and decor. Many thanks to the Social Studies Department for the vision that brought this event to live – Ms. G. Jones, Ms. R. Jones, Ms. Eitsert, Mr. Tucker, and Ms. Nicholas. They couldn’t have done this without support from many staff members including but not limited to Ms. Monroe, Mr. Washington, Ms. Brown, Ms. Oyelade, Ms. Berroa, Dr. Arroyo and many others. We are truly blessed.

Afterwards, everyone enjoyed authentic African Cuisine and music. We are grateful for such supportive community and families. We look forward to next year. Thank you all for coming. Click on the link to see some highlights:
