CMIT is a school of challenge and preparing Brian for his future. He has received support, transparency, teacher involvement from CMIT in one year than all of his school years.

CMIT South is the best possible fit for my child. Although the workload can be aggressive, she is able to keep up and excel. She is already thinking about colleges.

Although the first two quartesemester has been challenging, it has also been good. The teachers are very supportive and I am especially pleased with the principal’s personal interest in the success of my child. I feel that there is a true partnership between the school and home. What is CMIT Stem Fair?

It is a school-wide STEM Fair that includes the topics related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It is required for all CMIT students. All of your teachers will be involved in supporting you and parts of your project will be evaluated in multiple subject areas. This means a good project will make a difference in your report card without additional effort. STEM Fair category winners (first, second and third place) will be awarded Kindle Fire HDs, Kindle Paperwhites etc. The overall STEM Fair winners (first, second and third place) will receive iPad, laptop or Kindle Fire HD. Eligible projects will represent CMIT in the 66th Annual Prince George's Area Science Fair (in March) and other national STEM Fairs.

What is the process and what should the end product look like?

  1.  You select the topic.

  2.  Focus on a question/problem on your topic.

  3.  Use Scientific Method.

  4.  Do your research/investigation/experiment/observations.

  5.  Collect Data

  6.  Present Your Data with a research paper and a poster board
