I am re enrolling my son at CMIT because I have been very happy with the school. The structure and class sizes are small and I feel that my son needs this.

We are re-enrolling our son because CMIT offers a rigorous academic curriculum that allows students to take advanced classes when they demonstrate the ability. CMIT is also very proactive in making sure that children are afforded opportunities to succeed. It does a great job at preparing our children for the future.

My child actually likes school now and I credit CMIT for challenging her a bit and allowing her to ” think out of the box.”

I like the frequent communication via email between Teachers and Parents. We as parents are knowledgeable of what is required for and from the students. The enrichment programs offered are good, because each child can find a program that appeal to them. What I would like to see in the High School years is a View Full →

What is CMIT Stem Fair?

It is a school-wide STEM Fair that includes the topics related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It is required for all CMIT students. All of your teachers will be involved in supporting you and parts of your project will be evaluated in multiple subject areas. This means a good project will make a difference in your report card without additional effort. STEM Fair category winners (first, second and third place) will be awarded Kindle Fire HDs, Kindle Paperwhites etc. The overall STEM Fair winners (first, second and third place) will receive iPad, laptop or Kindle Fire HD. Eligible projects will represent CMIT in the 66th Annual Prince George’s Area Science Fair (in March) and other national STEM Fairs.

What is the process and what should the end product look like?

  1.  You select the topic.

  2.  Focus on a question/problem on your topic.

  3.  Use Scientific Method.

  4.  Do your research/investigation/experiment/observations.

  5.  Collect Data

  6.  Present Your Data with a research paper and a poster board
