Athlete of the Month of March *Mason Hayes*

Mason is a 3-year basketball player for CMIT South. As a JR Mason was a part of a team that won the regional championship in the state tournament. This past year he was the team captain of the team that finished 16 -5 and made it to the regional championship game. He averaged 13.1 points, 5 assist, 3 rebounds. Mason was awarded the presidential scholarship which will equate to a full scholarship at Coppin St University. He wants to be a sports science major. On Saturday, February 11, three of our 6th grade Tigers, Jayden Anigabor, Mokorinayo Adelakun, and Ezekiel Mangubat represented CMIT South in the MathCounts Potomac Chapter Level competition (which consists of PG County and Montgomery County students). As a result, we are pleased to announce that Ezekiel Mangubat is advancing to the State Finals on March 28!

Noah Murray received a $1,000.00 scholarship to participate in the Amazon AHEAD program where he will learn to code and design video games on Amazon's Luna platform. The program will meet virtually starting February 5th and run throughout the rest of the school year (on the weekends). At the conclusion of the program he will present the game he created to Amazon. On January 28th, Noah goes to Amazon's Crystal City headquarters to be an 'Amazonian' for a day where he will have exposure to their innovation labs and meet with Amazon IT professionals of different levels.
